Second assignment.

So school is fabulous! I am loving it! It's a lot different then i had imagined. I think that's what i like about it. It's unexpected.
Anyways, I got my second assignment! It's depth of field. I have some, hopefully, cool ideas for it. So keep a look at for when I post my best pictures! :)

First day of classes

I had my photo 1 class today. It was unbelievable how terrified and nervous I was. It was 8 am and i was stepping into an unknown world that I so desperately wanted to know everything about! I felt and feel so much pressure to be the best I can be. Which is what I'll do, be the best I can be. It's weird stepping into class and basically being the only one who has never taken a photography class and being one out of two who wants to major in some form of photography.

That's the nervous side of things. I also felt so much excitement as I had the chance to step into this unknown world. I love being pushed out of my comfort zone. It's not always easy, but it's amazing to find what one can learn or who one can meet. I met many cool and interesting people. I learned a lot about my camera that I never knew. This semester is going to be a great adventure. I can't wait to travel deeper. :)

brink?

Remember that old Disney channel movie, brink?    good memories.

A few days ago I went with my boyfriend, Andrew, to take pictures of him at the skate park! What an experience. I have to admit I was super nervous. I was wondering if I would get any good shots, or if I would be outgoing enough to move around to take pictures. It's amazing the rush of emotion one can get, when doing the unknown. I had never been to a skate park, so this was completely new for me.

Amazingly I got some really cool pictures, I moved around quite a bit! I still think I can do better, luckily he wants me to come with him again! This next time, I won't be so shy! ;)

Passion

I was reading in my Bible earlier today and I came across some verses,  Ephesians 1:11-14 It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eyes on us, he had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.
It's in Christ that you, once you have heard the truth and believed it (this message of your salvation), Found yourselves home free signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what's coming, a reminder that we'll get everything God has planned for us.

It's so cool how God has designed a life for us. Our perfect savior cares about us, when we are the least perfect thing. We have such horrible nature. But even through everything we do, he chooses to love us through it all. He even put his life on the line so we wouldn't get the wrath. Jesus is so amazing.

I was praying about this, asking God what he has designed for me. Should I be a photographer? I'm really not that great or anything. The more i pray about it, the deeper my passion grows for this art. I want to express Gods love and artistic nature through my pictures. So I hope you enjoy my passion and find yours.

One step closer..

The past few weeks I have been taking my camera EVERYWHERE with me. I still haven't read the manual. I know, I should get on that. I have SO many things to learn about this wonderful camera! I'm just stubborn, I like to figure things out on my own. I shouldn't do that for much longer. Everyone needs help from time to time.

I'll be posting photos from time to time.. I'm about to get really busy! School starts august 27th! One step closer to becoming a world known photographer. =]
